Erica recently launched her personal finance and wellness Instagram, Baddie with a Budget, and she’s here to share her incredible story of growth. We talk about the highs and lows—how she’s faced financial struggles head-on and healed through somatic therapy with Sarah Baldwin. It’s real, raw, and relatable as we unpack how healing impacts not just your relationship with yourself but with your family and friends too. About Erica McCarthy

Erica is a copywriter with over a decade of experience in the fashion, beauty & skincare industry. She currently is a Copy Manager at Paula's Choice Skincare where she gets to explain the science behind skincare in a fun way, but also learn about each ingredient & how it affects the skin. A true skincare girlie at heart, it's a dream come true for her to work within the beauty space.

Apart from her love for skincare, she is passionate about people fully stepping into the life they are called to live. Growing up in a family with a lot of familial trauma in a single-parent household, she found herself stuck in love, frozen in her purpose and anxious in the workspace. After 7 years of talk therapy, she started working with a Polyvagal Institute-trained Somatic Practitioner named Sarah Baldwin (@sarahbcoaching) and everything started to rapidly change. In working with Sarah, she began to notice daily transformations happening with how she viewed the world and how she showed up in it. Out of this healed (and still healing!) place, she started her own finance Instagram (@_baddiewithabudget) where she seeks to help people with their money, get them ahead financially & live their dream life without feeling like their goals are unattainable.
