EP 3: Breaking Down Barriers: A Candid Conversation with Jenelle Cherek
In this episode, I'm joined by my dear friend, Jenelle Cherek, for a heartfelt discussion about the barriers that may be hindering us from discovering healthy, loving relationships. We dive deep into the evolving societal landscape and how it has transformed our expectations as women in the realm of relationships. In this candid conversation, we open up and get vulnerable about our own road blocks to love and how we're working through those.
About Jenelle
Jenelle Cherek is someone who likes to characterize her life by compassion and conviction. She enjoys the multifaceted and unconventional ways she lives her life and tries to encourage others to not totalize themselves via career or age or relationship status. She does, however, appreciate the structure of context and believes it’s helpful to know how some pieces of the puzzle fit together.
Jenelle is a Southern California native, but currently lives in Austin, Texas. She works as a social worker and specializes in trauma-informed care and the child-welfare-system. She is also a single foster parent with a focus on reunification. She is multiethnic and loves to celebrate diversity in all forms, whether that’s at the dinner table or on the dance floor! Jenelle loves getting her nails done and learning new things, with boxing being her latest challenge!
